Sarah Malik began practicing family law with the firm in 2009 and joined the firm as an Associate in 2010. Ms. Malik received her Juris Doctorate from George Washington University Law School in 2007 and Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2004. She currently practices family law with a focus in litigation and
appeals and is training to become a family law mediator.

Experience
Ms. Malik also provides pro bono legal services through D.C. Volunteer Lawyers Project, which represents clients in domestic violence and family law matters before the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Malik practiced International Trade law at a D.C. law firm where she counseled clients on import, export and Customs compliance matters.
While in law school, Ms. Malik interned for the Honorable Jose M. Lopez in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. During her final year of law school, Ms. Malik was a student attorney for the Jacob Burns Family and Civil Litigation Clinic.
Ms. Malik is a member of the Family Law Section of the Maryland State Bar Association and Montgomery County Bar Association and contributes her services to the Montgomery County Pro Bono program.
Personal Ms. Malik resides in Gaithersburg with her husband and son. She is fluent in Hindi and Urdu.
